Your birth: your choices, your rhythm, my support.

The day your baby is born is a unique and unrepeatable event.

My role as your Birth Doula is to ensure that, regardless of the outcome or the setting, you feel respected, informed, and deeply cared for.

I will be your emotional and physical anchor, so that you and your birth partner can focus on what matters most: welcoming your baby.

Labor requires total surrender. My support begins long before the contractions intensify and continues until your baby is safely in your arms.

  • Physical Support: I use non-pharmacological pain relief techniques, such as massage, positioning suggestions, and environmental control (light, sound, and temperature).

  • Emotional support: Continuous encouragement, validation of your feelings, and a look of trust and security whenever you feel your strength wavering.

  • Informational support: I help you decode the medical team's procedures so that your decisions are always informed and your autonomy is maintained.

Can doulas attend hospital births?

Support in a hospital setting always depends on each institution's specific policies, but there are several ways to ensure you have my support

In most public hospitals, only one continuous birth partner is allowed in the delivery room. However, swapping partners throughout the process is permitted. In these cases, my role is to rotate with your partner or main support person, ensuring they have time to rest and that you are never left without continuous support and care.

In private hospitals, the dynamics often allow me to be present in your room as a second support person during visiting hours, offering full physical and emotional support during the dilation phase, up until the moment you are transferred to the delivery room.

How do transportation and travel work on the day of birth?

My priority is to ensure your comfort wherever you feel most secure.

My travel to your home—to provide initial support and manage early contractions—is fully included in your support package (with the exception of pre-agreed travel fees if you are located outside the Greater Lisbon area).

However, should it be necessary to use my own vehicle to travel to the hospital, any associated costs (mileage and parking fees) are the responsibility of the family.

The same principle applies to any necessary travel after birth, from the hospital to my vehicle.

Does the investment for the support package have to be paid in full upfront?

It doesn't have to be.

I believe the focus of this journey should be on your peace of mind and preparation for the birth, without it becoming a source of financial stress.

I am fully open and flexible to arranging a payment plan that is tailored to your family's budget and comfort.

What happens if an unforeseen emergency occurs on the day of birth and you cannot be present?

My commitment to your support and peace of mind is absolute.

To ensure you are never left without support in the event of a force majeure on my part (such as sudden illness or an accident), I always work in partnership with a back-up doula..

This colleague is someone I trust completely, and she will make a point of meeting you during your pregnancy. She will be fully briefed on your story, your journey, and every detail of your birth plan.

If, for any reason, it becomes necessary for her to step in on the big day, she will provide support with the same level of dedication and respect, at no additional cost to your family.

Your safety net is always guaranteed.
